References & Feedback
Excerpt from a professional recommendation by W.D. Kurz, D.D.S.
Something that has always impressed me about Neil is his endless energy, and work ethic. He might be wearing several different hats, but I always felt that mine was the only one. We would have a meeting somewhere over coffee, and by the time I got home there would usually be an email re: the things that we had discussed saying they had been taken care of.
I appreciate what Neil has done for me. He is truly a Professional, and a pleasure to work with. I would without reservation highly recommend him for whatever your needs may be, because he has an abundance of talent to draw from. You will not be disappointed.
Contributions to the community of Chehalis Washington
I am pleased to provide this letter of reference for Neil Amondson, AKA Developers, LLC. As a result of the catastrophic December 2007 flood event, the city of Chehalis was impacted in many ways and the community/’s can-do spirit was evidenced in a development project proposed by Mr. Amondson as Chehalis and the surrounding communities began to recover. Mr. Amondson was quoted in a local newspaper article as saying he hoped to encourage other developers to come to the community and invest in Chehalis. The development was proposed to be located at Exit 77, one of three Chehalis entrances along the I-5 corridor and the gateway to our Central Business District emerging directly into the county courthouse complex, city hall, and historic “Old Town.” It is a crossroads to and from access to the Ocean Beach Highway/Highway 6 Scenic Byway, Willapa Hills Trail, and provides access to two of the city’s most popular attractions - the Veterans Memorial Museum and the historic steam train rides.
Over the years the property had become somewhat of a dumping ground and had contaminated soils left behind from a former gas station. Needless to say, the development was seen as a welcomed addition by the city to help beautify an area that was significantly underdeveloped and an eyesore, and turn it into an anchor for future development in that part of our city. The city has seen a significant increase in tourism and its tourism tax revenues over the last couple years as the result of a new hotel constructed as part of the Liberty Plaza project. Concurrent with the development, the city was embarking on the Chehalis Renaissance, a 15-20 year citywide plan with projects in community building, economic development, quality design, traffic and parking, and downtown development. One of the central themes that came out of the plan was the redevelopment of the Central Business District (CBD). Mr. Amondson’s vision for enhancing the area as a gateway to the CBD fit well within the goals of the city’s Renaissance Plan.
Mr. Amondson’s original concept addressed the need not only for commercial development, but also for park and recreational amenities. Unfortunately, the state and federal regulatory system prevented some aspects of the project from happening. Mr. Amondson put some of his plans on hold and moved forward with the development of a portion of the property, creating a new hotel, bank, and fountain known as the "Freedom Fountain." The beautiful solid columnar structure, made from rocks from the Columbia Basin, was dedicated on June 14, 2009 to all U.S. Veterans.
Another project completed by Mr. Amondson was the South Market Professional Center. This attractive building is located along the city's main thoroughfare, Market Boulevard, and is another example of the contributions Mr. Amdonson has made to Chehalis' continued development.
Consulting & Project Management, Allyn Washington
I have been asked to provide a letter of reference for Neil Amondson and am more than happy to do so. I met Neil over 10 years ago and hired him for consulting and project management on several projects. He worked hard to negotiate the best deal he could for us with contractors saving us thousands of dollars and his projects were done on time and generally under budget. Because of his knowledge, persistence and positive attitude he was able to overcome major obstacles in getting shoreline and other permits approved at the county, state and federal level. He's a great tutor and was incredibly patient with my lack of understanding of technical subjects and how to get large scale projects done from bidding, to filing the final paperwork. I've never met a man that was so consistently pleasant. Neil is a funny, fair and totally ethical person and I consider myself very fortunate to have him as a friend and trusted business associate. I recommend him without hesitation for any project he is interested in and would certainly hire him again if the need arises.
