National/Hampe Kresky

This 13+ acre parcel is on the corner of what could become the gateway exit to the Twin Cities of Chehalis and Centralia. Zoned commercial, this property is located between two primary arterials that serve Chehalis and Centralia with NE Kresky Ave. running northbound and N. National Ave. running southbound. NE Hampe Way borders the south property and is the link between the two arterials including access to the Lewis County Mall.

At present the Twin Cities and Lewis County are evaluating traffic plans with WA Dept. of Transportation for the widening of I-5 to six lanes of traffic. In this evaluation, one of the options to be considered is the closure of exits 79 & 81 (Chamber Way and Mellen Street) to be replaced by a new intersection to serve the Twin Cities. The proposed concept would include the extension of NE Hampe Way west to I-5 to provide traffic dispersion south to Chehalis on National Ave. and Centralia north on Kresky Ave.
